First Trailer For Selena Gomez-Produced ‘Living Undocumented’ Is Out | TV Trailer

Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for its upcoming immigration documentary, Living Undocumented. The six-part series executive produced by Selena Gomez will premiere on October 2.

Living Undocumented follows the story of eight immigrant families, mainly from Mexico and Central America, as they try to obtain legal status in the United States. Many of them face the threat of deportation and risk being separated from their loved ones. The documentary aims to show the complexities of US immigration system and humanize the ongoing debate about the country’s undocumented migrants.

“I chose to produce this series, ‘Living Undocumented,’ because over the past few years, the word immigrant has seemingly become a negative word”, Gomez explained in a statement. “My hope is that the series can shed light on what it’s like to live in this country as an undocumented immigrant firsthand, from the courageous people who have chosen to share their stories”.

The series is co-directed by Aaron Saidman and Anna Chai. They also serve as the show’s executive producers, along with Eli Holzman, Sean O’Grady, Selena Gomez and her mother, actress Mandy Teefey. The singer shared the trailer for the upcoming series on Instagram, announcing its release date in the caption.
