Gin, Cocktails & The World Cup @ 214 Bermondsey – Saturday, June 14 | Events

So another four years has passed and the country is about to enter football mania once again with the start of the World Cup and with games on every day, it will be hard to miss the craziness. Of course every one likes to get involved and support their country but if crowded and rowdy pubs are something you would like to avoid, but you still want to be involved then 214 Bermondsey may be your World Cup solution. 214 is a Gin and Cocktail bar in London and they will be screening all the top games on their cheekily concealed screen that is behind the mirrored wall. To really give you the best of both worlds, they will also only be playing the commentary of the matches when England is playing (and of course the final).

England’s first game kicks off on Saturday the 14th of June, which so beautifully coincides with World Gin day, and could not provide a better way to kick things off. So at 214, they will be offering a special World Gin Day flight (3 tasting G&T’s along with answers in sealed envelope), sampling Moonshine Kid (England), Larios 12 (Spain) and St George (USA), along with the standard variety of their 80 gins, hand crafted Bermondsey Tonic Water and an amazing array of flavour bursting, super tasty cocktails.

If those glamorous and huge selection of drinks were not enough, they will also be serving up some cleverly crafted punch bowls for just £5. To make these punch bowls even more football friendly and to get you in the spirit of things, you will be able to experience different concoctions that represent the different World Cup teams all infused with flavours that truly support the countries roots. For example, The England’s Little Lady Grey, this is created using Little Bird gin, peach liqueur, lemon infuse with Earl Grey tea, and there is the Brazil’s Caipirinha, created with Abelha 3yo organic Cachaca, lime and brown sugar.

So if your a football lover, a cocktail and gin drinker or you fancy a bit of both, then get yourself down to 214 Bermondsey for England’s first game, and lets kick the World Cup off in real high spirits.
