With some released test footage that made it’s way online last year, the excitement for the animated version of The Guardians of The Galaxy grew but it’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything else – until now. It appears that a couple of our favourite characters have bagged their off-screen actors as Rocket and Groot find their voices. Per Joblo, it seems talented voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson has bagged the role of of walking tree Groot.
You may just recognize Richardson’s smooth tones from the likes of Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and The Batman. Well, with Groot cast, it’s only right that they get his partner in crime, Rocket’s voice down also. That job goes to Trevor Duvall. Duvall is a lesser known voice actor but with an impressive career, featuring in the likes of the Johnny Test television series as well a bunch of different short film and video games. With Marvel and Disney continuing to announce the roster for the new animated series, we’ll be sure to keep you updated about just who will be voicing your favourite characters. In the mean time, here’s a little video of Duvall introducing his arrival to the Guardians gang.
