J. Cole Shares New Song ‘i n t e r l u d e’ | Music News

Following his internet-breaking album announcement J. Cole has released a new lead song entitled “i n t e r l u d e“!

“i n t e r l u d e” is produced by T-Minus and T. Parker and it sees J.Cole paying tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle and Pimp C in the lyrics: “My homie, homie got out on parole / He sold more Coca-Cola than the soda in the street / Summertime, bring the cold, this winter breeze / Hella blues like the rolling sixties/Christ went to heaven, age thirty-three / And so did Pimp C, and so did Nipsey.”

Earlier this week, J. Cole had announced via Instagram that his next studio album The Off-Season named will arrive next week on May 14 and serves as the rapper’s follow up to his 2018 album KOD and 2019 compilation Revenge of The Dreamers III.

His upcoming studio album’s cover features the rapper standing on a basketball court with a basketball net on fire behind him.

The artist released two singles last year, “The Climb Back” and “Lion King on Ice“, which now seem to be billed as the first songs from his yet-to-be-released 2021 album.

Previously J. Cole also shared “Snow On Tha Bluff“, which was perceived as a diss track against Noname. In response, Noname released a J.Cole diss called “Song 33“.
