J.K Simmons Set To Star As Commissioner Gordon In ‘Justice League’ | Film News

 

According to news from the Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has been added to DC’s Justice League movie as Commissioner Gordon.

 

The upcoming Warner Brothers film, directed by Zack Snyder, is set to see superheroes including Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aqua Man (Jason Momoa) The Flash (Erza Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), coming together to battle a powerful threat.

 

Simmons, who previously starred in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman franchise as J. Jonah Jameson, will follow in the footsteps of other famous actors such as Gary Oldman and Ben McKenzie who have taken on the role as Gotham’s famous Commissioner. Justin League: Part One, is due to start shooting in April, with a November 2017 release date, while the second part is due for release in 2019.
