Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn has called British actor Tom Holland’s take on the iconic superhero Spider Man “the best Spidey/Peter Parker ever by a country mile”.
The director has already seen the entirety of the upcoming Captain America: Civil War in which the teenage web slinging superhero will feature.
Gunn, in response to a question on twitter that asked if Holland’s performance is anything like that of previous Spider Man actors, replied that “It’s his own thing”. He then furthers his praise for the young actor stating: “He (Holland) is to Spidey as Downey is to Iron Man“.

Holland’s Spider Man is set to make his appearance in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, and Scarlett Johansson. It is set to open in the UK in April 2016.
