Jennifer Aniston Breaks Instagram With ‘Friends’ Reunion Photo | Film News

Actor Jennifer Aniston poses as she attends Variety’s 2019 Power of Women: Los Angeles, in Beverly Hills, California, U.S., October 11, 2019.

Jennifer Aniston has officially debuted on Instagram yesterday afternoon. “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM”, the actress wrote below her first post, where she appears posing alongside her former Friends co-stars, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

Her debut has not definitely gone unnoticed. Aniston attracted more than 116,000 followers in one hour, while her profile experienced temporary technical problems, due to the great number of users, who started to follow her.

Aniston joked about this fact saying: “Sorry, I think I broke it”, while her representative wrote “We are aware that some people were having issues following Jen’s profile, we are thrilled to have this ‘Friend’ as part of the Instagram community! As of now, people should be able to access and follow her profile with no problems”.

Considering the social media crash, it’s possible she has broken the record for having the fastest Instagram account to reach one million followers. According to Guinness World Records, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have held that title since April, but Aniston has definitely had a greater success on the platform.

On the other hand, this success can be linked to this year’s 25th anniversary of the series Friends, which have recently brought the main actors to the top of world news again. A new movie, to celebrate the anniversary, was rumoured, but Aniston dismissed this possibility: “Our producers wouldn’t want it, wouldn’t let us” she said “it would have been fun. But whatever. Maybe it’s better this way, but we’ll never know”.
