Jessica Chastain Interested In Playing Adult Beverly In ‘IT 2’ | Film News

Following the success of IT, plenty of fans have been dream casting who will play the adult versions of the Losers Club in the sequel, with many agreeing that Jessica Chastain would be a great pick to play the older version of Beverly.

Director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti have reportedly talked about it, and apparently Chastain herself has now come out in favour of the idea.

While doing an interview for her upcoming collaboration with Aaron Sorkin, Molly’s Game, Chastain was asked by ScreenRant whether she’d be interested in the role of adult Beverly:

“Well, I love Andy and Barbara. I worked with them on Andy’s directorial debut, you know, his film, Mama. His first film. And you know, Barbara is one of my best friends so… We’ll see… Listen, of course, I want to work… they’re my friends. They’re like my family. Anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen”.

Chastain doesn’t exactly commit to the role, but following IT‘s massive box office success, she’s probably aware that the sequel will carry significant clout and will have plenty of actors circling the roles. However, it’s fair to say she’s got the inside track having already worked with the Muschietti’s on Mama.

Seeing who gets cast in the IT sequel will be a lot of fun, and you’d expect Chastain to get the role if both parties and a bevy of fans are interested. If so, the question then becomes what other A-listers will join her in the sequel?
