Following his darker role as conservative newsman in the new The X-Files series, Community actor Joel McHale is returning to his comedy roots for CBS’ new comedy The Great Indoors, produced by Mike Gibbons.
The actor plays a magazine editor for a magazine of the same name who has to give up mountain climbing and wilderness-combing for a desk job after suffering an injury whilst out exploring.
In charge of a group of fresh faced millenniums in the magazines social media department, he has to lead the much younger staff without driving himself mad in the process.
The pilot of the show is due to be shown this autumn.
