Rapper, songwriter and composer Khemist has released a video for his single “Stay For Me”.
The video was written by Khemist himself and directed by John Kolleh and Joe Grasso, and is a perfect visual representation of what the artist sings in his song “Stay For Me”.
Indeed, “Stay For Me” is about the difficulty of a musician to find the balance between his life as an artist and a love relationship. It is a representation of his dilemma between love and his musical ambition.
In the video, we can discover different shots that put in perspective the moments where the rapper sings on stage and those of his personal life.
In addition, the video was created in partnership with the legendary guitar manufacturer Taylor, with Khemist playing one of their custom guitars.
“Stay For Me” is the artist’s first track since the beginning of this year, following a highly successful 2020.
Last year the Philadelphia rapper released his Khemtrails EP and his single “Upright” from the EP won Song of the Year at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. He became the first hip-hop artist to win this award in its 30-year history.
Khemist is an artist from Logan Valley, and his musical talent and personal experience create the perfect conditions for such a high level of musical achievement in his songs. “Stay For Me” is a song written from the heart and the emotion is felt when you hear the first few notes.
