Lana Del Rey‘s contributing songs to Tim Burton‘s forthcoming film Big Eyes are now available to stream. Starring Amy Adams, Big Eyes gives name to the biopic about American artist Margaret Keane, whose paintings of big-eyed children were falsely credited to her husband. The title track, “Big Eyes“, will play mid-film and “I Can Fly” will appear during the credits. Both tracks add a sense of dreaminess and melodrama to the film and portray the psychological state of artist Keane.
The movie’s producer Larry Karaszewski told The Hollywood Reporter that, “Tim showed her the film and she fell in love with it. Women in particular seem to get the movie, and Lana really got the movie. The whole thing is about a woman who can’t find her voice. Lana’s song expresses what Margaret is feeling so perfectly, it’s like a soliloquy of her inner thoughts”. Big Eyes will be out on December 25. Listen to Del Rey’s “Big Eyes” and “I Can Fly” below.
