Liv Tyler has been cast as the female lead of the upcoming 911 spinoff series at Fox titled 911: Lone Star. The Lord Of The Rings and The Leftovers star will join Rob Lowe in her first broadcast series.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, who created the original series, are also the team behind 911: Lone Star. Lowe serves as co-executive producer.
The Texas-based drama will see Liv Tyler as Michelle Blake, a witty chief paramedic determined to discover the truth about her little sister’s mysterious disappearance. She ends up working with Lowe’s character, New York firefighter named Owen.
The parent series came out last year on Fox and featured the likes of Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Connie Britton. 911: Lone Star is due to premiere on January 19, 2020.
Lord Of The Rings actress recently starred as Lady Fitzwilliam in the third season of Hulu’s Harlots. Earlier she played Megan Abbott in HBO’s The Leftovers and appeared as Anne Vaux in BBC miniseries Gunpowder.
Fans will also see Tyler team up with Brad Pitt for the critically-acclaimed Ad Astra. The upcoming sci-fi film from 20th Century Fox lands in UK cinemas on 20 September.
