Lizzo has just released a new remix of her chart-topping single “Truth Hurts”, this time teaming up with the K-Pop boy band AB6IX. This is the third rework of the record, following a remix featuring rapper DaBaby and a house version by American DJ CID. The American and Korean artists announced the launch of the new remix only few hours prior to its release.
We might be facing one of the most surprising collaborations of the year. The new song reprents a fusion of styles and languages: while the chorus is in Korean and is about how the K-Pop artists are on the rise regardless of what others are saying; the rest of the song in in English and is interpreted by the rapper.
This variety represents the main strenght of the song, which can be considered original despite the numerous variants. Every part of the record fits together perfectly and there are not collisions between the English and Korean parts.
“Truth Hurts” is an essential collaboration for the K-Pop boyband, since it represents AB6IX’s second single following their debut song Breathe, released in May, and precedes the launch of the boy band’s first LP on October 7th.
Fans are looking forward to listening to their new album, but, for now, they can have a delicious foretaste of it with this fantastic remix. Listen to it below.
