London Artist Prince Of Falls Drops New Single ‘Holding Back’

Prince of Falls, a London-based artist, has released a beautiful new music video to go along with his single “Holding Back“, an addictive song that fuses trap soul beat with 80s influences.

Along with the release, Prince of Falls also makes a public announcement about his upcoming EP Somewhere Doing Something, which showcases his broad perspective on life and mind.

Prince of Falls is a 25-year-old Nigerian-born, Greenwich-raised artist who emerges from the depths of London. His ethereal melodies fall somewhere between gloomy R&B and personal lyricism. Listeners are drawn into a more personal area of the life by the mesmerising rhythms. Prince of Falls is adamant to keep interacting with people all across the world in this way.

Prince of Falls quickly began studying media, TV, and cinema while also learning about music creation. He began constructing rhythms and hesitantly singing in front of friends until he eventually felt secure enough to present his musical works.

He focused on music production while working to improve his vocals and create his distinctive sound. He explains: “I was so tired of hearing music that just talked about cars, girls and money. I knew that I wanted to say something different.” This was the beginning of Prince of Falls resolve to reject traditional ideas of masculinity and instead use sound to expose his flaws.

He has so far put out two projects. His most well-known song, “Marlboro“, which has accumulated 15 million Spotify listens since its debut, is featured on the 8-track album We Feel Something, which was released in 2019.

Diary Of A Lonely Night, his follow-up album from 2021, was a documentation of Prince of Falls’ increasing self-assurance as he gradually peeled back the layers to portray a happier, lighter side of his feelings.

Prince Of Falls is projected to have a big year in 2023 as he’s going to release a new EP and perform his first live show in London. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with this year!
