Los Angeles Singer-Songwriter Amelia Janette Releases New Single ‘Silverwine’

Los Angeles-based Singer-Songwriter Amelia Janette has released a cinematic, sexy, and moody new piece titled “Silverwine“.

“Silverwine” is a single that will form a dark pop anthem. Amelia Janette is a Self-Motivated, Inspired artist who brings authentic lyricism back into the mainstream. It’s a creative and vibey single with nuances of musicality that are immersed in melancholic dark tones.

“Silverwine” is a tale of tears, heartbreak, and the inevitable facets of human nature. It’s a playlist essential for indie-pop lovers as Amelia’s vocals are so unique and refreshing. Her versatile world-class writing skills are sure to leave an impression in the hearts of so many.

Amelia Janette was raised in the unassuming Frogtown area after being born in Los Angeles. As a young child, she studied the arts and wrote poetry there. Her Afro-Cuban father, who raised her in a multiracial family, was the source of her love of music, while her Indigenous Salvadoran mother was the source of her love of reading and writing.

Through one of her instructors, Jack Fris, Amelia was introduced to writers like Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg throughout her academic years. It ultimately affected her lyrics. Amelia Janette’s mentorship from Jack throughout her formative years helped her channel her creativity and emotions into the music you hear today.

Amelia battled addictions for years, which caused her to drop out of high school and complete her schooling online. With the help of her friends and family, she was able to pull herself out of the grip of addiction through her most trying times. Opting to pursue music to deal with the after consequences of addiction.

When she needed inspiration, she listened to music by Billie Holiday, Lana Del Rey, Nina Simone, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, and Black Sabbath.

She decided to rebirth herself by giving herself the name Amelia Janette. She started writing songs that exposed her mental burdens and dealt with her past struggles.

Amelia performs with her band at local places when she isn’t writing. In addition to many other places, she has performed at DBA in Pomona, The Offbeat in Highland Park, The Olde Town Pub in Pasadena, and Echo Park Rising. She can often be seen supporting other local musicians by going to her neighborhood open mic.

By the end of the year, Amelia Janette intends to continue sharing her experience with the world and release new music.
