Lou Berry Releases New Single ‘Mine’ | Music News

Introducing Parisian singer, songwriter and musician Lou Berry, with his brand new single “Mine” and debut album Inner World via indie label Le Sofa. The single also comes with new visuals that were directed by Kevin Froly and Thomas Vanz.

Revered for his smooth jazz, soul and R&B sensibilities, Berry has been supported by the likes of Complex, Lyrical Lemonade, Earmilk and COLORS. With his new album, the 24-year old musician explores desire, obsession, addiction, lush and ambition, while drawing influences from James Blake, Men I Trust, HOMESHAKE, and Connan Mockasin.

Speaking about the new single “Mine”, Lou Berry says it “is the ultimate step towards the Inner World. The character is questioning and desiring everything he can, embracing rage and falling into madness. In retrospect, I see this song as a reference to the Greek Hubris which means immoderation, or an unquestionable desire to possess and control“.

Honing his craft as a young singer in his local choir, while teaching himself to play the piano and guitar, Lou Berry first broke into the scene with his debut EP Blue Sky, which amassed over two millions streams and led to a performance at Black Sea Jazz Festival and comparisons to James Blake and Tom Misch.
