Matthew McConaughey has said that he may return to the True Detective TV series. The first season of the TV show followed two detectives Rust Cohle and Martin Hunt as they become involved in a 17-year hunt to find a serial killer in Louisiana. McConaughey played the role of Rust Cohle for eight episodes while Woody Harrelson played the role of Martin Hunt. McConaughey revealed in an interview that he initially accepted the role as it had a definite end and he wouldn’t have to be committed to the TV project for the next three years. He has said he wouldn’t rule out not returning to the show as Cohle but only for around six months.
