Megan Fox had both a critical and commercial comeback for herself thanks to 2021 thriller Till Death. So it’s no surprise that she’s reteaming with director S.K. Dale for another thriller, but this one has a sci-fi angle and is titled Subservience.
The film will focus on the dangers of A.I., and will see a struggling father purchase a domestic SIM – played by Fox – to assist him in the house. However, things start to take a drastic turn when she begins to gain awareness and goes on a deadly rampage.
Will Honley (Escape Room: Tournament of Champions) and April Maguire (Lost Girls) are writing the screenplay. Jeffrey Greenstein of Millennium Media will produce.
Fox garnered some of the best reviews of her career for Till Death, which saw her character wake up handcuffed to her dead husband after a romantic evening in a secluded lake house, before having to fight off hired killers in the dead of winter to escape her late spouse’s twisted plan.
Her experience working with Dale should obviously help here, and it will be interesting to see her take on the sort of role she’s never played before. Production on the film is expected to commence in January. Other projects Fox has in the works include The Expendables 4, and Bonnie & Clyde update Johnny & Clyde, which she will star in alongside Tyson Ritter.
