Miu Miu took to Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy to reveal its Fall/Winter 2021 fashion show labelled the Miu Miu Mountain Club.
The new collection, designed by Miuccia Prada, was presented in an 8-minute clip titled Brave Hearts, which was shot by director of photography Benjamin Kracun.
Despite the pandemic hitting the world’s industry hard, Miu Miu managed to present the show in a very interesting way by immersing us in a snowy mountain setting.
In the collection we can discover boxy cargo trousers for men in dusty pink silk, heavy wool sheath dresses studded with metal on the straps, crystal charm necklaces, yeti boots in fake fur and many others.
The spirit of adventure is very much in evidence in this new collection, with roomy snowboard trousers and rugged quilted jackets. It seems to be aimed at people who are looking for mountaineering.
Some celebrities discovered the collection in the living rooms of a virtual front row. There were, for example, Golden Globe winner Emma Corrin and Simone Ashley, who will appear in season two of Bridgerton. Each guest was given a cryptic clue to the show’s location before the collection was unveiled, in the form of a carved wooden box containing an expedition flag.
