Mura Masa + Clairo – I Don’t Think I Can Do This Again | Music Video

Mura Masa has teamed up with Clairo for a new song called “I Don’t Think I Can Do This Again”. It’s the first taste of the English producer’s upcoming second album. The track is accompanied by a video directed by Thomas Hardiman.

Mura Masa, real name Alexander Crossan, released his eponymous debut album two years ago. Now, the electronic artist has joined forces with the teenage raising star Clairo for the first single from his forthcoming sophomore LP. The song premiered yesterday (August 21) as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record.

Mura Masa revealed that the new track “is the beginning of rolling out a new direction” for his music. He added the single had “a lot of rock influences” and marked “a new era” in his creative work.

“Punk and new wave is the music I grew up playing so it feels like an exciting return for me”, the singer explained. “I’m thrilled to debut this new sound with one of indie music’s most exciting and talented songwriting newcomers in Clairo. To me, this is the zeitgeist of the next year in music; a new type of band”.

Fans will get the chance to watch Mura Masa perform live at Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend (24-25 August). He will also appear at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris this autumn.

Clairo, on the other hand, dropped her debut album Immunity earlier this month and announced her North American tour starting in September. In addition to that, the young singer has just been named Apple Music’s newest Up Next artist, like Billie Eilish, Tierra Whack, Bad Bunny and other before them.
