I’ve got some bad news for the US Whovians out there. Sadly, Netflix have confirmed that hit sci-fi series Doctor Who will be removed from their American streaming service in February; whilst remaining available in the UK and Canada.
Netflix US confirmed the sad news via Twitter in response to fans questioning why the episodes available are listed to expire from their Netflix accounts on February 1. Netflix explained to Doctor Who Online that their licence for the Time Lord television series has ended; resulting in the removal of the content. However, they optimistically hinted it could make a return: “we’re always happy to work on getting it”. See the tweets below:
