Disney has released the debut trailer for their upcoming biographical drama film about a Ugandan chess prodigy.
Queen Of Katwe stars Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as the mother of Phiona Mutesi, a young prodigy who becomes a Women Candidate Master at the World Chess Olympiads.
Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and ESPN films, British actor David Oyelowo also stars as a missionary who teaches the local children chess and later becomes the mentor to Phiona Mutesi. The film is to have a limited release on September 23. Watch the trailer below!
