One Hundred Paces Share New Single ‘Silence And The Echo’ | Music News

The long-awaited debut album from One Hundred Paces is out. The folk-rock band from Santa Barbara released Between The Echoes on September 13 by Wednesday Records and shared “Silence And The Echo”, the first single taken out of the record.

One Hundred Paces was founded back in 2010 by New York native singer-songwriter James Lombardo as his modern-folk inspired musical project. Two years later, the group dropped their debut EP via Wednesday Records. The single “The Rise And Fall” met with a very enthusiastic reception and featured on the soundtrack for MTV’s Teen Mom season two.

Having released two successful EPs, One Hundred Paces shared their debut full-length album named Between The Echoes last month. “Silence And The Echo”, the first single lifted from the new record, showcases the band’s signature sound, which can be described as a combination of indie folk and rock.

Between the Echoes follows a string of recent live performances, during which One Hundred Paces opened for the likes of The Talbott Bros and The Gin Blossoms. The band also inaugurated the release of their debut LP with a sold out at Bombay’s in Ventura, California on September 14.

According to Atwood Magazine, “One Hundred Paces captures the duality of love – how our internal worlds can feel like they’re spinning out of control at times, but we will still cling to the moment and make it last as long as we can”.
