Watching Boxing just got a whole lot easier thanks to 10-time World Champion Oscar De La Hoya. The Mexican has teamed up with online TV service FilmOn to welcome the sport into the connected age of the internet. Ring Channel, as it will be known, will stream live fights from L.A. courtesy of La Hoya’s promotion company – Golden Boy Promotions – whilst another channel, the Golden Boy Channel, will be dedicated to the fighter himself. Both will debut this month.
“This new partnership with FilmOn will only further showcase our mission by offering fans the best fights from today and yesterday“. Fans welcomed the announcement, irritated by the fact that so much televised boxing is locked behind pay-per-view walls.
