Sailing Stones – Don’t Tempt The Shadow | New Music

Sailing Stones is a bristol based singer-songwriter and musician who is glad to announce her debut album Polymnia due to be released in 2020.

She describes her debut album as an honest exploration of learning to break free and let go. She said about it: “I really wanted to get into the dark side of what we wrestle with as human beings, and that there is no easy solution”.

She’s inspired by her experience of moving to London and leaving her old life, but she’s also inspired by Marissa Nadler, Weyes Blood and Julia Holter’s “Have You In My Wilderness“, and finally, she’s also influenced by the late 1980s FM radio tracks she has listened when she was a child.

With its foundations laid in Vale Studios, Polymnia came together with producer and multi – instrumentalist TJ Allen on production on and bass duties, Dan Moore on keys/ synths and Daisy Palmer on drums and drum machines.

Later, Jake and Pete from Get The Blessing provided horn parts, and Drew Morgan (Modulus III) arranged strings on several songs.

Nowadays, the singer has released on October 23, her second single from her upcoming debut EP. Titled “Don’t Tempt The Shadow”, it is a brand new indie-pop gem featuring her warm voice which translates a seemingly effortless fragility. The layered synthesizers and softly rolling drums featuring guitar riff accompanied this lovely nostalgically melody.

Finally, she embarks on a UK tour this October across London, Bristol, Manchester and more, listen to “Don’t Tempt The Shadow” below:
