Saweetie Releases ‘Best Friend’ Remix Featuring Doja Cat & Stefflon Don | Music News

Saweetie has officially shared the remix for her newest hit “Best Friend” in collaboration with Doja Cat and Stefflon Don, the new queens of the rap scene. The song is very catchy and the lyrics are all about self love and in some way woman empowerment, the message they send about best friends is really good for girls to listen to.

The track is already at #35 on the UK Official Charts, with a total of 100 million streams and has been played on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Kiss Fresh and Capital Xtra. We really enjoy the lyrics, which encourages women independence and not relying on any man for their luxuries, “That’s my best friend, she a real bad b***h. Drive her own car, she don’t need no Lyft”.

Her musical influences stretch to Africa and the Caribbean, and she has been a major trendsetter in music since being recognized by the BBC on their Sound of 2017.

Speaking about releasing her remix to UK audiences, Saweetie says, “My UK fans are so important, I wanted to give them a special treat with my best friend Stefflon Don. I cant wait for everything to open back up so I can perform this remix for my UK Icy Gang!”
