Seattle Artist And Producer Shug Hzy Releases New Track ‘Deep End’

Shug Hzy, a versatile artist, producer, and songwriter based in Seattle, Washington, is trying to make a significant impact on the music scene with his highly emotional and empowering tracks, one of which is his new single titled “Deep End” taken from his I Don’t Need You album.

With his music, he aims to provide comfort to listeners, assuring them that they are not alone in their struggles, while still capturing high-energy moments.

Raised in Federal Way, Washington, Shug discovered his passion for music in middle school. He was initially drawn to the creative aspects of hip-hop and R&B, genres that were popular among his peers and often incorporated into class projects.

After hearing “Maybach Curtains” by Meek Mill, Shug was inspired to pursue music as a lifelong endeavor, aiming to evoke the same intense emotions in others through his voice.

Shug’s musical journey led him to learn music production and push the boundaries of his writing abilities. His music echoes his upbringing on “real rap,” while also incorporating elements of contemporary styles, reflecting a blend of artists he admires, including Jcole, Drake, and A boogie.

Navigating life with a single mother, Shug turned to music and admired rappers who seemed to have a level-headed perspective on life. These artists served as his guiding lights, teaching him valuable lessons about determination, peace, integrity, and empathy.

Despite his initial resistance to singing, a chance visit to a recording studio marked the beginning of his journey into melodic rap.

Shug’s most recent release I Don’t Need You, is his first album since 2019 and encapsulates his journey of overcoming heartbreak and taking control of his life. Each track explores different aspects of love, loss, grief, denial, and self-assurance, revealing Shug’s personal growth and vulnerability.

His favorite song from the project, “Deep End,” particularly emphasizes self-empowerment, acknowledging his growth during times of loss, and gratitude for his blessings.

Shug wants his fans to know that he’s just a normal guy living a normal life, who found his passion in music early on. His innate connection with his emotions has allowed him to channel them into his music, providing a healing outlet for both himself and his listeners.

As Shug continues his musical journey, he hopes to transition his love for music into a career, using his platform to inspire and comfort others along the way.
