Seven New Actors Added To ‘The Witcher’ Cast For Season 2 | TV News

Seven new actors will join Henry Cavill in season 2 of The Witcher series, playing characters that are well known to fans of Andrzej Sapkowski‘s books.

In a photo posted on Instagram, the actor, who plays Geralt of Rivia, confirmed that he will be filming season two of the series. The production will take place mainly in the UK and it has emerged that the original cast will be expanded.

First of all, two stars from the Bridgerton series have been added to the cast. Adjoa Andoh will play Nenneke, a priestess of Melitele and head of the Temple of Melitele, and Chris Fulton as Rience, a mage who has been tasked with finding Ciri after she disappeared during the Cintra massacre.

In addition, Netflix has just confirmed previous rumors by announcing the arrival of actress Cassie Clare in the role of Philippa Eilhart, the advisor to the King of Redania, Vizimir II, and head of the Lodge of Witches.

We will also see Liz Carr as Fenn, Simon Callow as Codringher, Fenn’s partner. But also Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, a master spy and head of the special forces of the kingdom of Redania and finally Kevin Doyle as a certain Ba’lian.

This new season takes place after the battle of Sodden where Geralt is convinced that Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) has died. He will therefore move Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows, his childhood home, Kaer Morhen, to protect her at all costs.

There is no date yet as to when this new season will air on Netflix.
