While the events of Avengers: Infinity War cast some doubt over some of the MCU’s future, a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming was announced before that massive event, so fans have all been wondering how that’s going to go down. While we don’t have any additional details, star Tom Holland has helped us out by graciously revealing the title to the film.
In an Instagram post from ACE Seattle Comic Con, the actor (not directly) revealed that the sequel title is Spider-Man: Far From Home:

This falls in line with what we’ve previously heard about the movie, which will involve Peter Parker travelling aboard and getting into some sort of adventure overseas. It’s been rumoured that he heads to London, but we do know that at some point he will face off with Jake Gyllenhaal‘s Mysterio.
With Infinity War in the rear-view mirror – but with Avengers 4 still on the horizon – Marvel is smartly keeping its cards close to the chest and aren’t letting many details slip out. While it looks like the Spider-Man sequel will indeed lean into Peter travelling abroad, we’ve been fooled by the MCU before.
What we do know for sure, is that Spider-Man: Far From Home will hit cinemas July 5, 2019.
