Stella McCartney Unveils Beatles-Inspired Collection ‘All Together Now’ | Fashion News

Stella McCartney has released a new collection inspired by The Beatles’ animated film Yellow Submarine.

The ‘All Together Now’ range caters for men, women and children and includes playful slogans and motifs inspired by classic Beatles tracks.

The collection builds on her autumn/winter 2019 collection which took inspiration from the Northern Soul scene of the 1960s.

For women, there’s everything from a bold faux fur coat with hues of red, yellow and green to a slouchy jumper bearing the slogan “All You Need Is Love” and staples such as denim jackets and checked blazers.

The menswear offering includes a black jacket emblazoned with upcycled Beatles themed patches, a cloud-print shirt and oversized shirts and t-shirts bearing the faces of each band member.

Like all of her clothing, the collection is made with sustainable materials including organic cotton jersey, regenerated cashmere and sustainable viscose as well as vintage fabrics.

Speaking about the collection, McCartney said: “I recently went to a screening with family and friends for the digital relaunch of “Yellow Submarine”. I hadn’t seen it since I was young, and honestly it blew my mind.

It affected me in a way I just wasn’t expecting. Especially this idea of connecting people and bringing people together – politically this message has never been more relevant. So, I came out and I was like ‘I have to do something”.

The ‘All Together Now’ collection will be available in Stella McCartney stores and online from 8 July.
