Summer Walker will release her new CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP next month.
During Summer Walker’s set at Dreamville Fest 2023, the artist surprised her fans with the news that she will drop the sequel to the LVRN signee’s 2019 EP CLEAR. Asking the audience, “Are you ready for new music?” she then told them to visit her website and pre-order the upcoming EP, CLEAR 2: Soft Life
The EP is Walker’s first new music for fans since last year’s updated sped-up version of “Last Day of Summer.” Before that, her last full-length project was 2021’s Still Over It. This sophomore album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart, and made history with over 201 million streams in its first week, marking the biggest streaming week for an album by a female R&B artist.
Moreover, 18 of the album’s 20 tracks, including “No Love” featuring SZA, “Ex For A Reason” featuring City Girls’ JT, “Unloyal” featuring Ari Lennox and “Bitter” featuring Cardi B, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Walker also shared the cover for the EP on her Instagram, an ethereal portrait of her cradling her baby bump sitting in a flower-filled rowboat. According to that same post, she announced that the EP will be available on May 19, 2023.
