The Beatles Actors Revealed For Brian Epstein Biopic ‘Midas Man’

Midas Man, the biopic about Brian Epstein, The Beatles’ manager, is getting some great actors to play the members of the Fab Four.

Jonah Lees (The Letter of The King) will play John Lennon, Paul McCartney will be portrayed by Blake Richardson (Eleven Days), Leo Harvey Elledge (Creation Stories) will interpret George Harrison and Ringo Starr will be played by Campbell Wallace.

Adam Lawrence (Peaky Blinders) also appears in the cast as Pete Best – the former drummer of the band- as well as Jay Leno (The Tonight Show) who will interpret Ed Sullivan which hosted the Beatles in The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.

As for the lead role of Brian Epstein, The Queen’s Gambit actor Jacob Fortune-Lloyd will play the famous manager of the English rock band. The actor will be joined by Emily Watson (Gosford Park) as Epstein’s mother, Eddie Marsan (Ridley Road) as his father, and Omari Douglas (It’s a Sin) as Epstein’s friend, Lonnie Trimble.

This biopic, directed by Vinyl director Sara Sugarman, was originally intended to be directed by Jonas Åkerlund. However, Åkerlund broke away from the production of the film, putting it on hold for three weeks. The film is currently being shot in Liverpool and will later move to the US.

In a statement, the director Sara Sugarman said that “the actors playing the Beatles are an extraordinary group they ooze that very visceral feeling of the ’60s, are charming, playful, and so authentic and I have no doubt that Jay Leno will capture the essence of Ed Sullivan perfectly.” She added that “his own experience as an American television host will bring forward a natural, and accurate portrayal and add an incredible element of modern showbiz to the story”.
