Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight, originally planned to be released nationwide on January 8, 2016, will now be dropped for the wide release a week earlier. The movie, of which a special 70mm “roadshow” version will be screened in 100 locations on Christmas Day, will now have its wide debut on the 1st of January. It appears that the decision of moving the release date was made after the early positive reactions to the film and its possibility to gross more during the closing of the holiday movie season.
