The Weeknd Drops A New Collection Designed With Fans | Fashion News

The Weeknd has released his first capsule clothing collection of 2019.

‘On Thursday’ is a collection which has an important place in his heart. It pays homage the different musical eras of his career, including those in his albums Beauty Behind the Madness, Starboy, and My Dear Melancholy. The artist also categories the different pieces into different ‘Chapters’, a nod to his forthcoming album Chapter IV.

The goal of this collection – composed of eight pieces such as T-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, zip-up jackets, and flannels – is to remember the past while developing a certain vision of the future.

The uniqueness of the capsule collection is that The Weeknd and his team called a couple of his fans who are artists on Instagram, Ayoob Ali and Abhidyu Sharma, to help him design the pieces.

Thanks to them, some abstract imagery feature on some pieces and we can feel the artistic flair in this clothing capsule collection. Some images look like dreamy sketches whereas we can say that the others are more a cartoonish portrayal.
