UK Indie Band Sarpa Salpa Unveil New Single ‘Stick To What You Know‘ | Music News

It’s the third single in 2020 for indie rock and pop band Sarpa Salpa, released via Well Healed Recordings. “Stick To What You Know” is their brand new single about breaking traditional career concepts and the pressure society puts on that.

Sarpa Salpa began with playing their DIY music at small gis in their hometown Northampton in 2017. Now they already gained international attention by radio stations, editorial playlists and taste makers.

Furthermore they have got extensive support from BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders who crowned one of their tracks as Tune of the Week in June and played the band for 12 weeks running.

The band consisting of Marcus (vocals), George (guitar), Ethan (bass), Charlie (drums) and Meg (synths) who joined later in August 2019, follows up on the success of their previous debut EP Say Something and their disco-tinged single “Forwards Backwards” in May.

“Stick To What You Know” is “about finding something that you love and pursing it with everything you’ve got. There is a lot of pressure in society to find a job, settle down then rinse and repeat. This track is about not settling for that 9-5 job you hate for the rest of your life. Something that’s proved more than testing for everyone in 2020” frontman Marcus Margot says about the single.

Listen to the eclectic alt-pop tune below and stay tuned for upcoming projects of the charming band from Northampton.
