‘X Factor’ Semi Finalist Louisa Johnson’s Position In Doubt After Being Struck Down By Mysterious Bug | TV News

Oh dear… It looks like it all could be over for X Factor semi-finalist Louisa Johnson, and not even because of her singing! The contestant’s position in the ITV singing competition is being questioned after she was struck down by a mysterious bug. She is reportedly being kept in isolation to prevent the risk of her passing the infection on to other contestants. The 17-year old only just scraped through the next stage of the competition during the results show on Sunday; making it a tense time for herself and mentor Rita Ora.

Following Simon Cowell’s comments that she looked ‘tense’ during her performance last weekend, Louisa replied “Yeah, I’m not very well” as she clutched her throat. A source told The Sun that “Louisa is putting on a brave face but she can hardly speak. We’re worried she could be too ill to continue next week. We couldn’t give her a free pass to the final, there would be uproar. But if any of the other contestants come down with the same thing we will really struggle. Olly is also sick and struggling. The bugs going round at the moment are really nasty”. Bosses of the show have already began precautions to prevent the bug from spreading by giving out hand sanitiser alongside honey and hot water. Get well soon Louisa!
