Bob Dylan To Be Honoured With All-Star ‘MusiCares’ Concert | Music News

 

73 year old singer, songwriting legend Bob Dylan is to be honoured at a MusiCares concert in Los Angeles on the 6th of February next year, to celebrate his contribution to music and the industry. Luciano Pavarotti, Sir Elton John, Bono and Bruce Springsteen are just some of the previous artists to be awarded the Musicares Person of the Year award. All money raised and gained through the concert go directly to the MusiCares charity.

 

Dylan will be celebrated on the night by artists such as Tom Jones, Neil Young, Beck, Willie Nelson, Norah Jones, Eddie Vedder, John Mellencamp and Crosby, Stills & Nash as well as The Black Keys starring White Stripes founder Jack White. Bob Dylan fans are still awaiting news of the newest addition to the musician’s music catalogue, as Dylan’s spokesperson promised the release of his 36th album by the end of 2014. Dylan embarks on a US tour in mid-October and his most recent album Tempest was released in 2012.
