Ed Sheeran Opens Up About Childhood In New Book ‘Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey’ | Music News

In excerpts of his new book Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey, 23 year old Suffolk born Pop star Ed Sheeran has revealed that as a child, he never had a game console, and watched no television. In today’s society everyone of us rely on some kind of technology, whether it be a phone, television, or computer. As children or teenagers, we all remember our favorite television shows or computer games, so it seems Ed is one of a minority in this respect.

However the reasoning behind why he didn’t have these so called luxuries is quite refreshing in this day and age. Ed Sheeran states, “Mum and Dad made sure they stimulated us rather than leaving us to our own devices. For years we didn’t have terrestrial TV in our house“. Given all the spare time to take up a hobby, Ed quickly found out he had a passion for guitar. Practicing day and night shaped him into the warming household name he is today.

Although some people may have thought he went without as a child, his massively successful career in the UK and in America, has made him wealthy enough to afford luxury’s most people could never afford today. Most people would do good by taking inspiration from Ed Sheeran, as he is a true example that hard work really does pay off. The “A Team” singer has recently released his newest single “Thinking Out Loud” from his sophomore album X (Multiply), watch the video for it below.
