Hannah Jane Lewis – Hide and Go Seek | New Music

Single after single, the young London-based songstress, Hannah Jane Lewis, is quickly emerging as the next British pop sensation. As if the incredible “Bend or Break” and “Why Start a War” weren’t enough, Hannah is back with a bombastic track that will sweep away any doubt.

“HideAnd Go Seek” initially reprises the atmospheres and sound of Hannah’s previous tracks – AKA a Taylor Swift-esque mid tempo featuring clapping effects and a sparse instrumental – only to explode in a pumping chorus where saucy guitar chords lead Lewis’ voice to the highest heights while she almost screams “You don’t need to find me”.

After such varied outputs, we literally can’t wait for an EP from this little incredible talent.

I speak as loud as the volume I listen to music, and this is probably symptomatic of my love for pop music: I love pop music because it is often unapologetically in-your-face, it shouts rather than tell, it drives you crazy. And after 21 years loving pop music, I think I’ve completely gone mad. It all started in 1997, when my mum bought me my first cassette: needless to say, it was ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua, and from that point on, it’s been a never-ending loving relationship between me and music. I study, work and live life part-time, and listen to music full-time.
