Soulful Toronto duo Majid Jordan give us some throwback vibes for their latest visual they share with the world for “Gave Your Love Away“. The 80’s inspired track is taken off their critically acclaimed 2017 album The Space Between and the video is directed by Common Good.
This new video sees a gang of female friends turning on their karaoke machine in their penthouse apartment and singing along blissfully to the sounds of Majid Jordans smooth track. The OVO duo feature in the video through the TV looking like they are stuck in the 80’s – the clips the duo feature in is like a blast from the past.
The song is as alternative as it is smooth yet certain chords are definitely 80’s R&B reminiscent. It is a beautiful pairing with somber lyrics cast over the dreamy beat.
For fans of the duo, Majid Jordan announced their The Space Between Tour last October, shortly after the album’s release. They will be in the UK during March including a show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on March 7.
