Megan Fox Talks To Jimmy Kimmel About Being The New Girl On ‘New Girl’ | TV News
When it was announced that Zooey Deschanel was going on maternity leave, we were left wondering how they would fill her place – and how that would even work, considering what a pivotal part she plays on the show.
While Jess is irreplaceable, Megan Fox has really stepped up to the plate and done a great job portraying the more plain-spoken and sensible Reagan, a pharmaceutical rep who is subletting Jess’s room while she is off on jury duty.
Fox isn’t exactly known for her comedic skills, even though she perfectly showcased them in This Is 40. She is more closely associated with big blockbusters and CGI turtles. So obviously she felt a little nervous stepping on to the beloved set. Chatting with Jimmy Kimmel, she spoke about what it’s like to be a newcomer on such a close-knit and revered show.
While she showered her cast mates with well-deserved praise, she admitted that there was a “feeling-out period” as they got to know the woman behind the media-constructed image. Which is understandable, as she has portrayed some rather intimidating characters. Watch the short clip below:
