Prince Cancels Solo European Tour Following Paris Terrorist Attacks | Music News
It has been an interesting week for Prince, announcing a surprise solo tour in Europe a week ago and his tickets sales were due to go on sale last Friday but less than hour before, the ticket agency Ticketmaster announced a postponement due to Prince resistant fight against ticket touting.
Prince has now cancelled his tour, joining artists including U2, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Motörhead and Foo Fighters in pulling concerts in wake of the Paris attacks. Prince was set to visit 16 cities in 11 countries and was planning to have two concerts in December 2015 at Paris’ Palais Garnier opera house. A statement on the website from his production company reads, “due to the tragic events in Paris, the tour promoter has decided to postpone the upcoming European tour until further notice“.
