After learning of David Bowie’s death on Monday (January 11), Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Flea has honoured the iconic artist with a tattoo.

As shown in a short Instagram video, the bassist got Bowie’s surname and his signature flash logo tattoed on his left arm. The caption quotes Bowie’s 1972 musical manifesto ‘Changes’ : ‘and these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds.’

Before getting the tattoo, Flea joined a shocked music world by expressing his sadness on several tweets, one of which reads, “David Bowie is my favorite rock musician of all time”.
