Sinead O’Connor Cancels Summer Tour Dates Due To Illness | Music News

Sinead O’Connor has had to cancel all of her summer tour dates due to an illness. The Irish singer was supposed to be singing at Festival Big Top at The Galway International Arts Festival today (July 23), but the event has confirmed that the singer is prevented from doing so due to a medical issue. John Grant will be filling in for O’Connor at the festival instead.

A spokesperson said: “Sinead O’Connor apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore. She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest. Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform”. O’Connor was recently in the headlines, claiming that “music had officially died” as Rolling Stones Magazine chose to put Kim Kardashian on their front cover.
