‘Star Wars’ Actor Adam Driver To Host His First ‘SNL’ | TV News

The Force is strong with this one! Actor Adam Driver – Kylo Ren in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens – will be going from the Dark Side to the light (entertainment) side as he’s to host his very first Saturday Night Livewhen the show returns on January 16, 2016.

 

The 32 year old plays the new Star Wars villian Ren, also known as Ben Solo, son of original icons Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess turned General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher.) The baddie is no stranger to comedy either, previously playing Lena Dunham‘s on/off boyfriend Adam Sackler in the hit HBO show Girls. Driver was nominated for not one but three Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category from 2013 – 2015.

 

Saturday Night Live has been a launching pad for the careers of so many comedy greats, including Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Billy Crystal and Chevy Chase, as well as new kids on the block Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Andy Samberg, Tracy Morgan, and Jason Sudeikis.
