Synthesizer pioneer, Don Buchla, has passed away at the age of 79, known for his importance in creating early synthesizers and some of the first MIDI compatible instruments. He created his first modular synth in 1963, and started a career selling them by 1966. His son, Ezra, confirmed of his passing on Wednesday, September 14 following complications involving his cancer, something that led to him selling his company in 2012 due to illness.

Here is a live performance from Don in 2010, performing a piece named, “Everything Ends Here”.

Hey, I'm Sam and I'm a big fan of music from all genres, with some of my favourites being Experimental Hip Hop and dream pop. I also love video games and their soundtracks, particularly Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid games.
