TEN FÉ – Born Slippy | New Music

Duo, TEN FÉ, have covered Underworld’s “Born Slippy” in time for the Christmas festivities: “We jammed this at our Xmas Office Party last week…and enjoyed it so much! So here she is, re-born, and recorded for ye all as a Christmas special : Underworld’s BORN SLIPPY. Merry Merry Christmas and a vibey New Year from Ben & Leo”.

“Born Slippy” opens with mournful organ, soon joined by equally sad, almost spoken, vocals. Shimmering guitar, driving bass and pounding, purposeful drum really give another taken on what’s largely heard as a dance track. It climaxes just as good, too, and has suitably emotionally charged lead line moments.

I've always wanted to be involved in the media since before I even left school; to write for a living.I feel most eloquent when mapping out my thoughts on paper or on a computer screen.I studied media at college for two years, and went straight into third year at university studying publishing with journalism. After a range of work experience, I did a magazine journalism course in Bournemouth, a long way away from my hometown of Aberdeen, achieving my NCTJ qualifications. Now I spend my time gladly writing about music.
