The mass media company 88rising has unveiled its first fashion collection with the Japanese artist Sorayama at their Head in the Clouds Music Festival held in Los Angeles.
88rising commissioned the artist to create the designs for the collection, whose pieces such as T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies have been seen at the festival on 17 August. Being launched later this month on 88NIGHTMARKET, you can get your favourite 88rising x Sorayama apparel for a price between $24 to $100.
Sorayama is well-known for his superrealism aesthetic illustrating female robots, in kind of erotic postures. The collection will let you know his incredible designs. “This collaboration is the perfect opportunity to combine creative worlds and educate more people on Sorayama as we pay homage to the artist himself”, said 88rising co-founder Sean Miyashiro.
88rising head fashion designer, Kenneth Ning explained that they chose the most inspirational Sorayama’s designs from his archive to create this amazing collection. After that, the mass media company rework some of this illustrations adding an innovative technique.
The Japanese artist has designed collaborations with other international brands such as Dior in 2018 and Huf in 2019. Nike and Juun. J have also used his designs. Sorayama also created the album artwork and creative visuals of 88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival.
