A gem in the crown of Nigerian music, talented singer/songwriter Adekunle Gold shares the visually captivating video for his latest single “Ire” (goodness in Yoruba). The uplifting, feel-good anthems continue as he follows on from assisting Moelogo for his recent single “Happy”
With AJE Filmworks at the helm directing, Adekunle Gold has put together an amazingly beautiful piece which centres around a journey of self-reflection. The scenes in the video are beautifully played out with him in reverse, and each supposedly is a representative snapshot of his own life.
The song is complete with guitars and traditional percussion as is favoured on his part. He sings about how “goodness” is beckoning on him to return home — to his roots. The choir backing is a very nice touch. This will definitely become a fan favourite.
Adekunle Gold’s forthcoming album entitled About 30 is scheduled for release next month.
