On February 1, Amazon announced the arrival of a brand new dramatic anthology series on the Amazon Prime platform titled Solos. The series will be produced by Hunters director David Weil.
Oscar-winning actors Anne Hathaway (as Leah) and Morgan Freeman (as Stuart) will lead the project, as well as Dame Helen Mirren as Peg and Uzo Aduba as Sasha.
We will also have the opportunity to meet Miss Juneteenth star Nicole Beharie as Nera and Marvel actor Anthony Mackie as Tom. Joining them will be Dan Stevens playing the role of Otto and Crazy Rich Asians star, Constance Wu, as Jenny.
Regarding the seven-part dramatic anthology series, Amazon said it “explores the deeper meaning of human connection, as explored through the lens of the individual” Each episode will focus on a different character at a certain point in time. Over the course of the series, the characters will feel connected to each other “through the human experience”.
“I created this piece with a desire to capture stories about connection, hope, and the search for that common hum of humanity that binds us all”, said Weil.
Unfortunately, the release date is still unknown. But to be patient, David Weil’s first series, Hunters, is available on Amazon Prime.
